'Behold the Blessed Face of Christ'
Lent Retreat
20-23 March 2026
In Julian's Eighth Showing, the reader of the Revelations of Divine Love is invited by Julian to reflect on what Christ's suffering means for them, shown in the features of the Saviour's pained face. In this Lent retreat, through silence, prayer and fellowship, we will experience together something of the message of this beautiful season.

'Behold the Blessed Face of Christ'
Guided Residential Lent Retreat
20-23 March 2026
All Hallows Guesthouse at the Julian Shrine
Fully catered
Retreat led by Fr Bruce-Julian Batstone

Join us this year in Lent to refresh the mind and renew the spirit. Retreats at All Hallows are a special opportunity to experience peace in an unpressurised environment, a chance to find community and solitude and join with the rhythm of prayer and rest that we hold in this place. As Lent draws to its close and we turn our eyes towards Easter and the Resurrection, we invite you to join us on a four day retreat meditating on Julian of Norwich's 8th Shewing, which has as its focus the Passion of Christ.
The retreat is fully catered with homemade, seasonal and organic ingredients. Some meals will be held in silence. There will be opportunities throughout the retreat to meet individually with the retreat leader if requested, as well as plenty of time to find space and quietude. A selection of services at the Julian Shrine are available to attend for any who wish to do so.
